Welcome Back to Adult Education: With A New Year of Opportunity!

As we step into the 2025–2026 school year, I want to give a warm welcome back to all of our incredible adult learners. Whether you’re returning to class with new goals or picking up where you left off, you are walking in with one powerful thing: purpose.

This year is more than just books and tests. It’s about building a better future — for yourself, your family, and your community. Every hour you spend in class is a step toward graduation, career growth, and personal confidence.

In our adult education classrooms, we believe in second chances, fresh starts, and celebrating progress — no matter how big or small. You’ll find support from your teachers, encouragement from your classmates, and the strength inside yourself to keep going, even when life gets tough.

Here’s what’s ahead this year:

  • Focused HISET prep in math, science, writing, reading, and social studies

  • 🕒 Flexible class schedules (day and online options available)

  • 🧑‍💼 Job certification opportunities in areas like customer service, digital literacy, and more

  • 💼 Employability skills training: resume writing, interview prep, time management, and workplace communication

  • 🎓 Career and college planning support

  • 💬 Monthly motivational check-ins to keep you inspired and on track

To our returning students: thank you for continuing your journey with us. To new students joining for the first time: we see your courage, and we’re here to walk beside you.

Let’s make this year count. Let’s rise higher. Let’s finish strong.

Preparing for social distancing in the classroom

School starts are looking different this year,  college students are considering 100% online or hybrid classes and K-12 schools are changing the structure of their classes for the safety of the younger students.  As parents and learners we are fearful of school entry; our children health and safety which are valid concerns but learning is our key objective.   As an instructor, I always consider my students feelings about safety, learning and personal issues.   Please listen to your local and state representative and make the best choices for you and your students.   Stay safe!  This link is information about entry plans by the American Academy of Pediatrics very informative.  School entry planning

"Living our new normal as educators and learners."

These past four months have taught many us that we are capable of doing things we have never considered.  As educators and learners of traditional setting, we have had to adjust our lives to remotely communicate 100% online.  I have seen many students grow and learn more about computers as well as basics reading and math skills with lots of dedication and hard work.
This has been an amazing and encouraging experience, changes the way I look at teaching.  As we move back to some normalcy, I have encourage my students to continue to use the resources  made available to them online because with a more computerize world growing in technology from smart phones to smart homes  it will benefit them in their lives outside of the classroom.  Please Read Article below (very interesting when looking at how education is changing in our society). The Rise of Online Learning
